Although she is adamant that she is just '21', dancer Lugo Lugo has been thrilling the crowds in the dancehall space with her outlandish dance moves for close to two decades.

She is therefore telling younger female dancers to show some respect, claiming that she helped to pave the way for them.

"Sometimes mi and the cheerleader dem good and sometimes we nuh good. Although mi and some a dem can't 'gree, mi a big dem up same way. Nuff time dem nuh get nuh money pull up dem a say mi wah get everything, but a me set it fi dem. Dem need to put some respect on mi name. But dem nah do di right thing and know say mi a di muma," she said.

Lugo Lugo grinned widely as she welcomed the news team in her Olympic Gardens community. Donning a tight two-piece Versace-inspired set and a pair of black sneakers, Lugo Lugo showed off her fashion before stating that she remains a staple at popular events such as Hot Mondays. She was also recently featured in the visuals for Skeng and Jigsta's single, Eediat.

"If mi nuh see myself inna di video dem, mi mad because mi depend on di little money when mi dance. Mi nuh go out every night, but Thursday night time mi make all $11,000 when mi dance. Nuff time mi deh home and mi feel like mi ago mad and mi call up [dancers] Energy and Shelly Belly and dem say'come make we go road'. Christened Suzette Champagnie, Lugo Lugo, who has created the dances 'Famous Roll' and 'Tump Yuh Head', says her entry into the dancing world was not easy as she was often labelled a mad woman.

"When mi just start, mi use to get whole lot a fight and people use to run from mi and say 'See di mad gyal deh a come' and one a mi selector friend from Jungle tell dem say mi nuh mad and mi can dance. Having copped the female dancer of the year award at Stone Love Awards on multiple occasions, Lugo Lugo said she is extremely proud of herself. She said she has also used her talent to take care of her three children.

"Mi just want it go back to the days when police nah fight we and dance nah lock off early. Mi can't bother with the bag a run up and down, man. Mi memba when di place did nice and mi use to win award and ting and mi use to just feel good fi see myself on TV. Mi miss dem days deh," she said.
