Ghost blamed for me not getting pregnant

Dear Pastor,

I am writing to you for your advice. I have always read your column and I find it to be very interesting. I am a 28-year-old woman. I do not have children. My husband and I have been trying to get a child but nothing is happening. He is so discouraged. However, I told him that although I would love to get pregnant, it is out of our control. There is nothing we can do.

People have told me a number of things that I can do to get pregnant, but I have not tried any of them. Some people have even said that there are wicked people around, and they could have made me barren. Some have suggested that a ghost may have blocked up my tube, making it impossible for me to conceive a child. I do not believe in these things.

My boyfriend used to have a girlfriend and that relationship came to an end long before we became lovers. I understand that his mother is saying that this girl has done something to prevent me from getting pregnant.

Dear P.,

If you are a person who believes in God, and that God is always in control, don't listen to what others have said. Some women get pregnant soon after they started to have sexual intercourse. Some had to wait for many months, and unfortunately some never got pregnant.

So please do not listen to the nonsense people say from time to time. Trust in the Lord and wait on him.
