JCF mourns officer killed in bike accident

Members of the Jamaica Constabulary Force are in mourning after a constable succumbed to injuries he sustained in a St Elizabeth crash four days ago.

Dead is 27-year-old Ezroy Boothe of the Junction Police Station.

Reports are that about 11:10 p.m. on September 26, Boothe was driving his motorcycle along the Lacovia main road when he lost control of the bike and crashed into a utility pole.

The impact left him with broken legs and a fractured pelvis. He was rushed to the Black River Hospital, where he was admitted in an unconscious state.

Boothe died from his injuries on September 29.

The St Elizabeth Traffic Department is investigating the matter.
