November 10, 2025

Nineteen-year-old Dantay Lipman, a labourer of Rose Hall district, Lawrence Tavern, St Andrew, has been charged with wounding with intent following an incident in the Lawrence Tavern square last Friday.

Reports from the Lawrence Tavern police are that at 10:30 p.m., a man was in a bar when an argument developed at the entrance of the bar doorway which was being blocked by Lipman, which caused the man to force his way out. This resulted in Lipman using a pair of scissors to inflict wounds all over the man's body. He was taken to hospital where he was admitted in serious condition.

Lipman was subsequently picked up and charged after a question-and-answer session. Lipman is scheduled to appear before the Kington and St Andrew Parish Court on December 5.
