While expressing gratitude that his life was spared following a motor vehicle accident on the weekend, comedian and businessman Garfield 'Bad Boy Trevor' Reid jokingly stated that he may have to put his 'dining' habits on pause.

"The neck brace is uncomfortable and I may have it on for a little, while so no eating nago can really gwan. Going to have to postpone it man," he said between laughter.

Bad Boy Trevor said he was hosting an event close to the Linstead Bypass on Saturday when he was struck by a vehicle.

"I don't remember much as I woke up in Linstead Hospital, but based on what I was told, I was hit by a white Axio either when I was going to or exiting my vehicle. I am really not sure," he said.

He told THE STAR that he discharged himself from the medical facility after learning that the resources for treatment were limited and sought medical assistance elsewhere. Classified as a Type C facility, Linstead Hospital is designed to serve a smaller, local population, and is not equipped with the advanced specialist services found in Type A (regional) hospitals such as Kingston Public Hospital or Spanish Town Hospital.

"The experience wasn't good as they didn't have the resources to take care of me at the hospital. They wanted to send me to Spanish Town to do a CT scan and other test and then the ambulance would take me back so I had to ask for a release and come to Kingston to my doctor," he said.

Bad Boy Trevor, who escaped the accident with minor injuries, says that although he remains in pain, he is counting his blessings as his CT scan and X-ray results returned normal.

"I was given the neck brace just in case there was any damage done to my spine, but overall I want my fans to know that I am doing okay and they are not to worry. God is good ," he said.
