Energy Minister Daryl Vaz says Petrojam has two weeks supply of refined products and ten days supply of Liquified Petroleum Gas

Petrojam, the country's sole oil refinery, has confirmed that it has sufficient fuel supplies as Jamaica brace for possible disruptions from Tropical Storm Melissa.

Energy Minister Daryl Vaz disclosed on Thursday that Petrojam has two weeks supply of refined products and ten days supply of Liquified Petroleum Gas (LPG) following passage of the storm.

Vaz said loading facilities in Kingston and Montego Bay will extend their hours to support pre-storm deliveries.

Further, the minister said Jamaica Aircraft Refuelling Service is fully stocked with jet fuel and aviation gasoline to ensure continuous aircraft refuelling.

He said all emergency systems at Petrojam have already been activated.
